The American Pigeon Museum & Library in Oklahoma City is the only museum in the U.S. dedicated to pigeons! These beautiful birds are more intelligent that most people think and all three main exhibits reflect that. During World War I & II, pigeons played a vital role in delivering messages to solders! They were credited for saving lots of lives in the wars! A permanent collection of artwork and figurines shows the difference between the fancy and homing pigeons! There is also an exhibit dedicated to pigeon racing, a sport that dates back 5000 years! And after looking inside you head outside to see some real live pigeons, some of which you can hold!
