Talimena State Park marks the Oklahoma entrance to the Talimena National Scenic Drive, a winding road through the Winding Stair Mountains that is known for spectacular spring and fall foliage. There are hiking, backpacking, dirt bikes and ATV trails throughout the Ouachita National Forest begin at Talimena State Park and offer a wide range of scenic, wooded terrain. Talimena State Park offers facilities for picnics and camping.
